Shreema Sarkar

Shreema Sarkar is a Partner at Dua Associates in Delhi, specialising in intellectual property law, brand strategy, and domain name dispute resolution. She has been practicing for 17 years, focusing on IP protection, enforcement, and agreements, with a commercially well‑informed approach backed by global insight.

Shreema has been instrumental in the Firm's Trademarks Exports Practice and works with a large network of foreign associates in over 100 countries for IP enforcement, including customs recordal. She assists clients in conducting due diligence for the growth and sustainability of IP across diverse industries, and regularly conducts in‑house workshops to create awareness on leveraging IP rights. She has also assisted start‑ups in brand conception and clearance, advising on the application and significance of IP rights.

Shreema holds an LL.B from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University, an MA in Public Administration from Madurai Kamraj University, and a Diploma in Cyber Laws from The Asian School of Cyber Laws, Pune. She has served on the Internet Committee, New gTLD Subsequent Rounds Subcommittee, and Famous and Well‑Known Marks Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA), and has been a member of the GNSO‑newgtld working group on policy making. She has delivered talks at the National Institute of Fashion Technology and spoken at workshops organised by the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers' Association (ATMA India).
