Somya Jain

Somya Jain is a Principal Associate and an integral member of the Income Tax team at Vaish Associates, focusing on Tax Law. Her core focus is dispute resolution and advisory in the areas of corporate tax and international taxation.

Since joining the firm in May 2019, Ms. Jain has handled a wide range of tax matters and regularly represents clients before income-tax authorities and the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal.

Her advisory practice includes in-depth work on issues such as the interpretation of Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements, withholding tax obligations, cross-border taxation, and the taxation of trusts and charitable institutions.

She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in November 2018 and completed her LLB in 2022. She holds a B.Com. (Hons.) and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. She speaks Hindi and English.
