Amit Shrivastava

Amit Shrivastava is a Partner at Kochhar & Co. in the New Delhi office, specialising in Tax Law. With 16 years of experience in Direct Tax advisory and litigation, he advises domestic and international clients on a broad range of complex tax matters, including Permanent Establishment, Transfer Pricing, Royalty and Fees for Technical Services, Double Tax Avoidance Agreements and the Income Tax Act.

Amit has a proven history of representing clients in landmark cases before the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, High Court and the Supreme Court, and holds the distinguished title of Advocate-on-Record at the Supreme Court of India. Notable engagements include advising a leading telecommunications company on PE and royalty issues, a multinational company on Transfer Pricing and group restructuring matters, and successfully representing various clients in challenging assessment reopenings, transfer pricing additions and searches conducted by the Income Tax Department.

Amit holds a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from DAVV, Indore (2009). He is a member of the Supreme Court Advocate on Record Association, the Supreme Court Bar Association, the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal Bar Association and the Delhi High Court Bar Association.
