Shammi Kapoor

Shammi Kapoor is a Senior Partner who heads the Indirect Tax practice at the New Delhi office, with a primary focus on Tax Law. He joined the firm in 1995 and specializes in indirect tax litigation and advisory services.

He has been involved in complex indirect tax litigations and has argued cases relating to VAT, Service Tax, Excise and Customs on behalf of multinationals and large Indian corporate houses before the Supreme Court, various High Courts, Tribunals and other appellate authorities. He also advises corporates on Goods and Services Tax issues and handles GST managed services.

He appears regularly before courts and tribunals and has addressed several seminars and conferences on indirect taxation. His related practice areas include tax litigation and advisory services. He speaks Hindi and English.
