Samad Ali

Samad Ali is an Associate Partner at Kochhar & Co. in the New Delhi office, specialising in Corporate Law. He has over 10 years of work experience in the areas of M&A, general corporate, private equity and labour laws.

Samad has worked with companies, funds and financial institutions across various sectors, including e-commerce, insurance, commercial vehicle manufacturing and gems and jewellery. He has also held an in-house position with the India office of a leading British multinational company. His practice encompasses Projects & Infrastructure and Banking & Finance matters, with experience on investment transactions, financing documents, employment advisory and regulatory compliance.

Samad holds a Master of Laws from the University of Warwick, a Bachelor of Laws from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, and a B.A. (Hons) in Philosophy from Hindu College, University of Delhi. He is a member of the Bar Council of Delhi and the Delhi High Court Bar Association.
