CR Dua

CR Dua is the Chairman and Founder of Dua Associates, a full-service law firm with offices across eight metropolitan cities in India. He provides strategic guidance to over 250 professionals, including more than 70 partners, focusing on the firm's growth, development and long-term vision.

He has advised major multinational corporations on their entry and expansion into India, including General Electric, General Motors, AT&T, McDonald's, Timex, 3M Corporation, The Boeing Company, Rolls Royce Plc, Rio Tinto, Linde AG, Estee Lauder, Gilead, Whirlpool, Becton Dickinson, Gillette, Dow Chemical Corporation and DuPont, as well as Japanese corporations including Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Toshiba and Mitsui & Co. His experience and expertise encompass corporate and commercial law, corporate finance, securities law, infrastructure, public policy and administration, governance and ethics, foreign investments and collaborations, disinvestments and privatization of public sector undertakings, M&A, and exchange control regulations.

CR Dua holds an Honours degree from St. Stephen's College and a Master's degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics.

He has been recognized as "The Most-Influential & Significant Lawyer" by The Legal 500 (2019), ranked by Chambers & Partners for General Corporate & M&A, and included in the Forbes India Legal Powerlist. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Contribution and Excellence in Law (2020) and was awarded the "Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy" for his contribution to bilateral business ties between Italy and India. He is Chairman of the Board of Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Limited, a founding member of the American Chamber of Commerce in India, and a member of the National Committee on Legal Services of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
