Padmanabhan Nair

Padmanabhan Nair is an Associate Partner with the Mumbai office of Vaish Associates, focusing on Corporate Law. He has been associated with the Firm since 1997.

He has extensive experience advising clients on India entry strategies and setting up of subsidiaries, branch, liaison and representative offices, and providing general legal counselling for businesses.

In addition to his general corporate practice, Mr. Nair works closely with regulators including the Reserve Bank of India, Registrar of Companies, the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), the stamp authorities, the Sub-Registrar of Assurances and various other government and statutory authorities.

As part of his employment practice, he advises on compliance with employment laws and regulations and on all matters regarding expatriate personnel, including support for the acquisition of residency permits from the FRRO and assistance with taxation issues.

His practice areas are corporate, with related practice in business advisory. He holds a B.Com and an LLB, and is a member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa and the Bombay High Court. He speaks English, Hindi, Malayalam and Marathi.
