Alok Sharma

Alok Sharma is a Partner in the Corporate Law practice at Vaish Associates’ Mumbai office, focusing on Corporate Law. He has been associated with the firm since 2011 and has over 12 years of experience.

He specialises in general corporate advisory, corporate governance, corporate restructuring, inbound foreign investments, regulatory compliances and transaction support advisory.

His business law experience includes advising corporate clients on the setting-up, maintenance and winding up of companies, LLPs, branch offices and liaison offices, drafting commercial agreements, undertaking corporate due diligence, obtaining various statutory registrations, and advising clients on the Companies Act, foreign exchange control regulations and SEBI regulations.

He has advised several domestic and international clients on domestic and cross-border acquisitions, business transfers, joint ventures, buy-backs and ESOPs.

Mr Sharma has contributed to the firm publication India Business Guide – Start-up to Set-up, published by Commercial Law Publishers (India) Private Limited.

His practice areas are corporate, with related practices in business advisory, secretarial compliances, corporate due diligence, corporate restructuring and corporate governance. He holds a B.L.S., an L.L.B. and a C.S., and is a member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He speaks English, Hindi and Marathi.
