Anish Ghoshal

Anish Ghoshal is a lawyer based in Mumbai, practicing in the areas of corporate and commercial law, M&A, private equity, banking and finance, and intellectual property.

He advises clients on foreign investments, acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, setting up of wholly owned subsidiaries and special purpose vehicles, and has conducted numerous legal due diligence exercises in connection with asset, business and share acquisitions of listed and unlisted companies. He has also worked on domestic IPO and rights issue matters and private equity transactions. He has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including joint venture agreements, shareholder agreements, share purchase agreements, business transfer agreements, franchising and distributorship agreements, software development agreements and construction agreements. On intellectual property matters, he advises on licensing, assignment, protection of confidential information and data protection. In real estate matters, he advises on title investigations, purchase, leasing and sale-leaseback arrangements. He has also advised on labour law matters including employee benefit trusts, employment contracts, stock option schemes and employee benefits.

Anish holds a B.Com from St. Xavier's College, University of Kolkata (1987) and an LL.B from the University of Mumbai (1990).
