Gagan Verma

Gagan Verma is a Partner at Kochhar & Co. in the New Delhi office, specialising in Corporate Law. With over 20 years of experience, he advises domestic and foreign corporations, including several Fortune Global 500 companies, on critical company law issues from a practical and business perspective, with a particular focus on corporate compliance, regulatory affairs, and transactional advisory.

Gagan has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate restructuring, including advising on India entry strategies, formation of legal entities, negotiating complex joint venture and shareholders' agreements, asset purchase and business transfer arrangements, and insolvency and dissolution. He has also expanded his practice to include labour and employment, product liability and data privacy laws, advising clients on issues such as lay-offs, termination, factory closures, and immigration. He has served on the Board advisory of a joint venture between India's largest public sector oil company and a Japanese corporation on compliance and regulatory affairs.

Gagan holds an LL.B. from the University of Delhi, an ACS from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, and a B.Com (Hons.) from the University of Delhi. He is a member of the Delhi High Court Bar Association and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
