Reena Jalan

Reena Jalan is a Partner at Kochhar & Co. in the New Delhi office, specialising in Corporate Law. With over 21 years of experience, her practice encompasses general and project finance, restructuring and insolvency, strategic advisory, complex security enforcements, M&A and infrastructure advisory across sectors such as roads, ports, renewable energy, financial services, real estate, IT and logistics.

Reena has spearheaded over 30 investment and divestment transactions at the IL&FS group across sectors including NBFCs, maritime, BPO, broking, renewable energy and information technology. She was a core member of the team for capital market transactions including business trusts, REITs and InvITs. She provides end-to-end legal solutions in commercial transactions, including complex due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, and cross-border M&A advisory on investments in India. Prior to joining Kochhar & Co., Reena served as head legal to one of India's foremost infrastructure developers.

Reena holds an ACS from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (2000), an LL.B. from Government Law College and a B.Com from Mithibai College, Mumbai. She is a member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa.
