Mustafa Motiwala

Mustafa Motiwala is a Senior Partner at Dentons Link Legal, Mumbai, specializing in Dispute Resolution. He is a seasoned litigator with expertise in domestic and international arbitration, mediation, admiralty, international trade and commodities, insurance, credit insurance, commercial disputes, real estate, corporate and commercial law, intellectual property rights, and media & entertainment law.

Mustafa has been involved in advising, drafting, and strategizing complex contentious proceedings, representing P&I Clubs, shipowners, charterers, and insurance companies across India in admiralty cases. He has also advised multinational companies on intellectual property, insurance, and credit insurance matters, and has acted on the enforcement of foreign awards and judgments in India. He is the Co‑founder and Convenor of the Indian Arbitration Forum (IAF), which established the Guidelines for Conduct of Arbitrations and the IAF Protocol on Virtual Hearings for Arbitration.

He is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and a member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa, the Inter Pacific Bar Association, and the Bombay Incorporated Law Society.
