Murtaza Kachwalla

Murtaza Kachwalla is a Partner in CMS INDUSLAW's Dispute Resolution practice group, based in the Mumbai office. His primary practice area is Dispute Resolution.

He has extensive litigation experience of over 10 years, advising and representing prominent corporations and individuals on various commercial and property-related litigations, as well as matters involving Constitutional law issues before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts and tribunals of various States. He has also represented clients in high-stakes domestic and international arbitration proceedings.

He also holds expertise in real estate matters, including drafting and reviewing property-related documents, with a focus on advising and representing clients in matters relating to transfer of property and conveyancing.

He graduated from Government Law College (GLC), Mumbai, in 2009 and holds a Masters in Business Laws (MBL) from the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru. Prior to joining the firm in 2019, he was part of HSA Advocates, ALMT Legal and Mulla & Mulla & Craigie Blunt & Caroe. He is an Advocate in India and has been recognised by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific and The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific. He speaks English.
