Mayur Shetty

Mayur Shetty is a Partner within the Dispute Resolution team at Kochhar & Co. in the Mumbai office, specialising in Dispute Resolution. Bringing over two decades of experience, he is a seasoned litigator whose practice spans complex commercial disputes, recovery and security enforcement, constitutional issues, insolvency, white-collar crimes, and corporate disputes.

Mayur has represented leading Indian companies, banks, public sector entities and multinational corporations, including in cross-border and multi-jurisdictional matters. He has acted in domestic and international arbitrations under major institutions such as SIAC and LCIA. Notable matters include advising on a Rs. 2,000 crore real estate dispute, securing a stay against the Department of Telecommunications for a leading telecom operator, and representing a multinational corporation in several multi-million-dollar EPC contract disputes with the Sterling Wilson Group before the High Court and the Apex Court. He also successfully represented a public sector bank in a recovery proceeding, securing a compound interest rate ruling.

Mayur holds a B.Com and LL.B. from Mumbai University. He is a member of the Bombay Bar Association and the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa. He is regularly invited as a guest lecturer at the Maharashtra Police Academy on corporate investigations and white-collar crimes.

He is recognised as a Recommended Lawyer by Legal 500 Asia-Pacific (2026), listed in the Fortune India Legal Excellence Awards 2025 – India's Top 100 Lawyers, and featured in the Forbes India Legal Powerlist (2022, 2023).
