Vimla Pinto

Vimla Pinto is a Partner at Dua Associates in Bangalore, specialising in real estate and property law, general corporate advisory, insurance law, and media and entertainment law. She began her legal career in 1988 as a litigator in the courts of New Delhi, later relocating to Bangalore and practising with leading firms including Dua Associates and J. Sagar and Associates.

Vimla subsequently founded VMP Law Chambers, where she provided legal advice and litigation support across a broad range of issues, before merging her practice with Dua Associates. Her niche lies in real estate and property laws, where she has advised developers, multinationals, and investors on property investments and exit strategies for real estate portfolios. She also provides advisory services to insurance companies and serves on the ethics committee of an Indian multinational company, advising on protocols for testing personal care products. Based on her experience working with media professionals on contracts and IP enforcement, she is expanding her practice in the entertainment and media segment.

Vimla holds an LL.B from the University of Delhi (1988).
