Prathap Nagaraj

Prathap Nagaraj is a Partner at the Bangalore office of Kochhar & Co., specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions. He is a member of the Firm's Corporate M&A practice and Corporate Restructuring and Compliance practice, with over 15 years of experience in corporate and business laws.

Prathap advises multinational clients on complex company law issues, regulatory matters, strategic acquisitions, foreign inbound and outbound investment, share and asset purchase deals, corporate structuring, exchange control and foreign investment laws, employment laws and real estate. He has represented major global software companies in inspections, investigations and proceedings conducted by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the Directorate of Enforcement and the Reserve Bank of India, and has handled the India leg of big-ticket global M&A transactions.

Prathap holds a B.A. LL.B. from B.M.S. College of Law, Bangalore University, and is a member of the Karnataka State Bar Council.
