Rahil Pereira

Rahil Pereira is a Partner – Corporate at Trilegal, focusing on Mergers and Acquisitions. He focuses on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investments, and general corporate advisory matters.

Rahil has advised clients on minority stake purchases, control deals, buyouts, fund investments and investment exits. A number of these transactions have been in the technology, education, retail, manufacturing and financial services space. He has also advised clients on resolution plans submitted under the provisions of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.

His representative matters include advising Blackstone on the purchase of a minority stake in Aakash Education Services and subsequent sale to Byju’s, the acquisition of a majority stake in ASK Investment Manager, and the acquisition of a majority stake in Quality Care India; advising ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel on its acquisition of various ports and power assets from the Essar Group; and advising ChrysCapital on its acquisition of IDFC AMC as part of a consortium with GIC and Bandhan Bank.

He also advised Sumitomo Corporation on its joint venture with Mukand, RMZ on its joint venture with CPPIB, and Amazon Digital Service Private Limited on the launch of its Fire TV – Hotspot service in India. Rahil holds a degree from Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur, and is admitted to the Bar Council of Maharashtra.
