NU Subaya

NU Subaya is a Partner at Dua Associates in Bangalore, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial law, real estate law, and FMCG law. With close to three decades of experience, he represents Indian and multinational corporations across the globe in transactions of varied complexity, structuring and negotiating commercial arrangements with a practical understanding of business requirements.

Subaya has led numerous acquisition transactions, including negotiating term sheets, conducting legal due diligence, and finalising transaction documentation towards closure. In the real estate sector, he advises clients on setting up manufacturing units, industrial and warehousing parks, and housing projects, covering title due diligence, structuring, and drafting documentation for acquisition, construction, joint development agreements, and project management arrangements. He also advises clients on food and beverage‑related laws, including structuring contract manufacturing and outsourcing arrangements, distribution agreements, and product packaging and labelling compliance.

Subaya holds a BA and an LL.B (Hons) from the National Law School of India University (1995). He is a member of the 'Agri & Food Processing Sub-Committee' of the Bangalore Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
