Megha Kaladharan

Megha Kaladharan is a Partner – Energy and Infrastructure | Policy and Regulatory Advisory | Energy Transition at Trilegal and a Partner in the Projects practice, focusing on Infrastructure Law. She has extensive experience in the energy and infrastructure sector, advising on pioneering transactions spanning both project development and M&A.

She has advised multilaterals and government agencies on public-private partnerships across renewables, energy efficiency, affordable housing, water and waste management, with projects spanning India, Bangladesh, Maldives, Uzbekistan, Africa and Fiji. She also advises on data centre and digital infrastructure development, and on emerging energy transition mechanisms such as VPPAs.

Her representative matters include advising AirTrunk on its entry into the Indian market through the acquisition of Lumina CloudInfra, representing up to US$5 billion of future development potential; advising Google on its first foray in the Indian clean energy sector and on implementation of virtual PPAs in India; advising Shell on the US$1.8 billion sale of its 5 GW renewable energy platform, Sprng Energy, to Aditya Birla Renewables; advising IFC and the Government of Madhya Pradesh on the 170 MW Neemuch and 440 MW Morena solar-plus-storage tenders; and advising Norfund on its investment in the US$300 million EnerGrid platform.

She is recognised as a ‘Recommended / Key Lawyer’ in Projects & Energy practice by The Legal 500 (2026) and ranked ‘Gennext Rising Star Lawyers’ in Projects and Energy by Legal Era (2025–26). Megha holds a B.A. LL.B. from National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, and is admitted to the Bar Council of Delhi.
