K. A. Najmi

K.A. Najmi is a Senior Partner in the Banking and Finance team at Dentons Link Legal, specializing in Banking and Finance Law. He has more than 35 years of experience in the banking and finance sector.

He served in the Legal Department of the Reserve Bank of India (1979–2000), where he was involved in the drafting and implementation of Exchange Control Regulations. He later joined IFCI Ltd. as Chief General Manager Law (2000–2004) and was a Partner at Fox Mondal Little, New Delhi (2004–2008), during which he worked on a World Bank project in Bangladesh to draft amendments to banking, finance, and insurance laws for both conventional and interest‑free business.

He holds an LL.M with a specialization in commercial laws and an LL.B from the University of Bombay. He is recognised as a Notable Practitioner in Banking and Project Finance by IFLR1000 (2020, 2021).
