Avimukt Dar is a Founding & Senior Partner of CMS INDUSLAW, based in the firm's Delhi & NCR offices. He is an India-qualified Advocate and an England & Wales Solicitor. His primary practice area is Mergers and Acquisitions.

He advises and represents clients across a range of business laws and regulations, helping domestic and international clients navigate India's economy, ranging from investments, data protection and e-commerce to fintech across practice areas.

He represents clients in M&A and PE transactions as well as commercial and corporate controversies, including competition law, data protection and business regulatory matters, and has extensive experience in negotiating entry and exit strategies for investors and joint-venture partners. He has led India's largest private equity financing in the hospitality sector and the expansion of several Indian companies overseas.

He holds an LL.M. in Banking & Finance Law from University College London (2004) and an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Buckingham (1999). He speaks English.
