Anuj Kaila

Anuj Kaila is a Partner at Kochhar & Co. in the Bangalore office, specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions. He advises international and domestic clients on cross-border transactions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, asset and business sales, and compliance with Indian foreign exchange control regulations.

Anuj has significant experience in the full M&A lifecycle, including deal structuring, due diligence, regulatory and exchange control approvals, contract negotiation, and post-closing integration. He has assisted a top Indian AI-based software company in its acquisition of a leading e-commerce company, advised selling shareholders on the acquisition of a leading e-commerce company by a top private equity firm, and worked on a syndicated acquisition financing transaction amounting to INR 7,000 million. He also advises on banking and finance matters, including syndicated loans, project financing and debt restructuring, and is at the forefront of Fintech advisory work, assisting cryptocurrency exchanges and payment entities on regulatory compliance.

Anuj holds a B.B.A., LL.B. from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, and diplomas in Business Laws, Corporate Laws, and Mergers & Acquisitions from ASCL Law School, Pune. He has also completed Executive Education in Strategic Thinking & Leadership from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA). He is admitted to the Karnataka State Bar Council.
