Abhinav Maker

Abhinav Maker is a Partner – Capital Markets at Trilegal and a Partner in the firm’s capital markets practice group, focusing on Capital Markets Law. He advises clients on a full range of capital markets transactions, covering fund-raising through equity capital markets, debt capital markets, InvITs, and REITs.

Abhinav brings a unique combination of experience having advised Indian corporates, underwriters, private equity funds, and institutional investors on a wide spectrum of capital markets transactions.

He has represented issuers, underwriters, and selling shareholders in marquee IPOs including DAM Capital Advisors Limited (the first IPO by a pure-play investment bank), BlueStone Lifestyle and Jewellery Limited (the first IPO by an omni-channel jewellery brand), Delhivery Limited, SBI Cards and Payment Services Limited, PNB Housing Finance Limited, Cello World Limited, Au Small Finance Bank and Mankind Pharma Limited.

In the InvIT and REIT space, he has advised issuers and underwriters on private placed initial offers and initial public offers by Capital Infra Trust, Indus Infra Trust (formerly Bharat Highways InvIT), India Infrastructure Trust (sponsored by Brookfield Asset Management), Oriental InfraTrust and NDR InvIT Trust. He has also advised global institutional investors including Mubadala Investment Corporation, OMERS and CPPIB Canada INC on their acquisition of units in InvIT platforms.

His QIP experience includes Punjab National Bank, Techno Electric & Engineering Company Limited and Marathon Nextgen Realty Limited, and he has advised on an OFS through the stock exchange mechanism for Timex Group Luxury Watches B.V. He is recognised as a ‘Recommended / Key Lawyer’ for Capital Markets by The Legal 500 (2026), ranked ‘Gennext Rising Star Lawyers’ in Capital Markets by Legal Era (2025–26), a ‘RISE Rated Lawyer’ for Capital Markets – Equity by RSGI (2026), and a ‘Rising Star Partner’ for Capital Markets by IFLR1000 (2025). He holds an LLM from New York University School of Law and the National University of Singapore, and a degree from Gujarat National Law University, and is admitted to the Bar Council of Delhi.
