Abeezar Faizullabhoy

Abeezar Faizullabhoy is a Senior Partner in CMS INDUSLAW's Dispute Resolution practice group, based in the Mumbai office. His primary practice area is Dispute Resolution.

He brings over 35 years of experience spanning dispute resolution, arbitration, and corporate commercial transaction and advisory. His disputes practice includes representing both domestic and international clients across sectors such as manufacturing, technology, services and retail before the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, tribunals, and in both domestic and international arbitrations. He specialises in commercial and contractual disputes, including shareholder disputes for both domestic and international clients.

In his corporate commercial practice, he has advised on joint ventures, angel and private equity investments, shareholders' and share purchase agreements, technology transfers, and issues under FDI regulations, the Companies Act, FEMA and other commercial laws.

For a period of about two years, he left the profession and was a Global CEO of a company investing in the energy space. Prior to joining CMS INDUSLAW, he was associated with Argus Partners.

He holds a B.Com. LLB from Bombay University and is a Solicitor of the Bombay Incorporated Law Society. He is an Advocate in India and has been recognised by asialaw, Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific, IFLR1000, the Indian Business Law Journal (IBLJ) and The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific. He speaks English.
