Timothy Franklyn

Timothy Franklyn is a Partner in the Capital Markets practice at Dentons Link Legal, Bengaluru, specializing in Capital Markets Law. He brings over two decades of experience advising on complex domestic and cross‑border capital markets and corporate finance transactions, including initial public offerings, qualified institutional placements, rights issues, high‑yield bonds, convertible bonds, medium‑term note programmes, and cross‑border securities offerings under Rule 144A and Regulation S.

Timothy has previously worked with international law firms including DLA Piper, A&O Sherman, and Jones Day, advising government bodies, multinational corporations, and global financial institutions on high‑value cross‑border transactions. He is particularly recognized for leading sophisticated multi‑jurisdictional transactions involving complex international regulatory and securities law considerations. He is the founder of the National School of Journalism and Public Discourse (NSoJ) and the Bengaluru School of Law and Justice (SoLJ), and is actively involved in academic and institutional initiatives focused on leadership, governance, and public discourse.

He holds an LL.M. from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Bachelor of Law from Bangalore University. He is qualified as an Advocate in India and as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales.
