Swarnima is a Partner – Corporate, Labour and Employment at Trilegal and a Partner in the firm’s Employment practice, focusing on Employment Law.

She has worked with domestic and multinational clients on a variety of employment matters, including structuring senior management contracts and remuneration policies, and advising on the effective management of resignations and terminations.

She has assisted clients through disciplinary inquiries, reorganisation and closure of their businesses in India, and trade union issues. She is regularly involved in labour audits and works with clients to rectify their compliance issues.

Swarnima is considered a leading expert on the law on prevention of sexual harassment (POSH) and has handheld several multinational clients in managing POSH complaints, reviewing and formulating POSH policies and comprehensive guidelines for committee members. She conducts training programmes on POSH and D&I issues for industry and employer networks across India.

She extensively advises Fortune 500 companies on complex aspects of the implementation of the labour codes, including the impact of the new definition of ‘wages’, managing contract-worker engagements and streamlining obligations under the codes. She has provided formal representations and suggestions to the government on the formulation of the labour codes and the state rules.

Her representative clients include Google, Intel, Nike, IBM, LinkedIn, Oracle, Rolls Royce, Akzo Nobel and GAP. She is recognised as a ‘Leading Partner’ for Labour and Employment by Legal 500 (2023–2026), ranked by Chambers & Partners Asia-Pacific for Labour & Employment (2018–2026), a ‘Notable Practitioner’ for Labour and Employment by Asialaw (2025), and a ‘Rising Star’ by Asialaw in 2023. She studied at Gujarat National Law University and is admitted to the Bar Council of Karnataka, and represents Trilegal at NASSCOM.
