Sulekha Kaul

Sulekha Kaul is a Partner and Head of the Foreign Exchange Laws practice at the Delhi office, with over 25 years of experience. She is a corporate and employment law attorney and her primary practice area is Employment Law.

She specializes in foreign exchange laws and employment laws, and has worked extensively on employment law assignments, inbound and outbound investments, joint ventures, wholly owned subsidiaries in India and abroad, and liaison, branch and project offices in India. She has assisted clients with technical and financial collaborations and with approvals from regulatory authorities such as the Foreign Investment Promotion Board and the Reserve Bank of India.

She advises clients across a broad range of industries on employment laws and has been involved in drafting and reviewing human resource policies, employment agreements and trade union agreements. She also advises international and domestic non-profit organizations on legal and regulatory issues, including the establishment of non-profit entities in India and matters under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 2010.

She holds an LL.M. and speaks English, Hindi and Kashmiri.
