Preetam D'Souza

Preetam D'Souza is a Partner in the Bangalore office of Kochhar & Co., specialising in Real Estate Law. He has extensive experience handling large and complex real estate transactions, including title verification, negotiations, documentation, regulatory advice, risk analysis, and real estate-related litigation. His work also covers construction agreements, leasing agreements, and facilities management service agreements.

Preetam has advised several multinational companies, including Fortune Global 500 clients, on significant real estate transactions across India, including the lease of approximately 585,000 sq ft of office space for a leading software company, assisting a US-based banking company with lease of approximately 600,000 sq ft in Bangalore, and advising on the acquisition of approximately 400 acres of land for a wind energy project in Karnataka. He also advises on corporate and commercial law matters, including joint ventures, M&A due diligence, exchange control, contract and labour laws, and has experience in high-stakes disputes and criminal matters.

Preetam holds a B.A., LL.B. from University Law College, Bangalore (2003) and a Master's degree in Human Resource Management from Pondicherry University (2005). He was admitted to the Bangalore Bar Council in 2003.
