Meena Venugopal

Meena Venugopal is a Partner and heads the Firm's litigation practice in the Bangalore office, specialising in Dispute Resolution. With over 33 years of experience, she handles all kinds of commercial and contractual disputes before civil courts and High Courts across India, with substantial experience in high-value debt recovery proceedings, SARFAESI proceedings, and matters before the NCLT and NCLAT under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.

Meena has initiated and successfully defended various corporates before State High Courts in original, appellate and writ jurisdictions, and has also been involved in proceedings under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). She has extensive experience in arbitration, having represented clients in arbitration proceedings, applications and appeals, and has mediated several disputes, bringing about amicable settlements. She also has substantial experience in real estate, handling large land acquisitions, drafting acquisition documents, setting up SPVs and obtaining necessary permissions.

Meena holds an LL.B. from BMS College of Law, Bangalore University (1992), and a B.Com from Bangalore University (1989). She is a member of the Karnataka Bar Council and the Bangalore Bar Association.
