Kosturi Ghosh

Kosturi Ghosh is a Partner – Corporate at Trilegal and a member of the Board, focusing on Mergers and Acquisitions. Her primary areas of practice are general corporate advisory, M&A, and private equity.

Kosturi has been actively involved in several high-profile inbound and outbound acquisitions and joint ventures. She specialises in advising multinational clients on commercial, regulatory and strategic matters, on setting up processes and procedures to ensure compliance with Indian laws, and on structuring investments and exit options in several regulated sectors. She has done significant advisory and transactional work in IT, education, food and agriculture, and healthcare.

Her representative matters include advising Orkla Foods and its subsidiary MTR Foods on the acquisition of a controlling stake in Eastern Condiments Pvt Ltd; advising Equifax Inc on the acquisition of Equifax Credit Information Services Pvt Ltd from shareholders including State Bank of India and Bank of Baroda; advising Essentra on its acquisition of the pharmaceutical packaging business of Kamsri and on the sale of its porous technologies division to 3i; advising Pitney Bowes on the sale of its document messaging technologies business in India; and advising Kottaram Agro Foods (Soulfull) and its promoters on fundraises and the subsequent 100% acquisition by Tata Consumer Products Ltd.

She also advised Strand and its promoters on the sale of shares to Reliance Strategic Business Ventures Ltd, En-Japan Inc on its acquisition of a majority stake in Future Focus Infotech Pvt Ltd, and Appirio Inc on setting up its business in India, an acquihire transaction with Metacube, and its acquisition by Wipro.
