George Joseph

George Joseph heads the dispute resolution / litigation practice at Dua Associates in Bengaluru, specialising in civil litigation and arbitration, intellectual property rights, real estate, criminal law (particularly white-collar crimes) and consumer disputes.

He has advised major banks, construction companies, real estate companies, public sector undertakings, manufacturing and software companies for over 30 years, representing them before the High Court of Karnataka, Commercial Courts, Civil Courts, Magistrate Courts, Consumer Forums and Commissions, Debt Recovery Tribunals, the Real Estate Regulatory Authority, and Electricity Regulatory Commissions. He led the firm's litigation team in its representation of a consortium of Indian banks against Kingfisher Airlines in what was then the largest bank-related litigation in India.

George holds a BSc and LL.B from Bangalore University (1992).
