Alok Vidyalankar

Alok Vidyalankar heads the Japan Practice at Dua Associates, specializing in assisting Japanese companies with their investments and operations in India. He is fluent in Japanese and familiar with Japanese business practices, having lived and worked in Japan for close to a decade, including serving as in-house counsel for Chiyoda Corporation in Tokyo.

He advises Japanese companies on corporate, commercial and business laws with a focus on foreign and domestic investment, joint venture formations, incorporation, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring. He also assists with contractual negotiations, dispute management and business strategy, as well as helping clients navigate the Indian business environment and regulatory landscape.

Alok holds a Bachelor's in History (Honours) from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University, and an L.L.B. from the University of Delhi. He also completed a two-year fellowship in Japanese Business Management & Practices at the Hiroike Institute, Japan, and studied Japanese at Reitaku University in Japan.
