VD Gulwani

VD Gulwani is a Partner at Dua Associates in Delhi, specialising in patent law and industrial designs. He is one of the leading registered patent attorneys in India, having been formally admitted to patent practice in the year 2000. His areas of specialisation include patent and design matters across a wide range of technological fields, including chemical, bio‑medical, electronic devices, engineering equipment, petroleum‑related technologies, energy industry systems, medical devices, flow control systems, labelling industry systems, and machine learning‑based systems.

Dev has successfully obtained patent grants in India and the United States, preparing and filing responses to office actions issued by the USPTO. He has also successfully obtained numerous design registrations for Indian and foreign applicants across diverse fields. He assists foreign inventors residing in India in obtaining foreign filing licences and permits for filing patent applications abroad without first applying in India. Prior to joining the law firm, he was a senior scientist in the Government of India's Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO).
