Varun Sehgal

Varun Sehgal is a Partner at Kochhar & Co. in the Gurgaon office and a member of the Corporate Practice group and Japan desk, specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions. With over 18 years of experience across top law firms and in-house roles, he advises on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, and general corporate advisory.

Varun has represented leading clients across e-commerce, technology, energy, infrastructure, pharma, healthcare and industrial manufacturing, with significant international exposure advising clients from Japan, the US and Europe on regulatory frameworks and market entry strategies. Notable transactions include advising Temasek on multiple investments in Indian healthcare and pharmaceutical companies, advising Amazon Inc. on its co-investment in single brand retail trade, advising Fuji Electric Co., Ltd. on its acquisition of Consul Neowatt Power Solutions, and advising Mitsui & Co., Ltd. on joint ventures and investments across healthcare, tea production, and commercial vehicle leasing. He has also advised on large-scale infrastructure projects, public-private partnerships and regulatory issues relating to foreign exchange and corporate restructuring.

Varun holds a BBA, LL.B. (Hons.) from the National Law University, Jodhpur. He is a member of the Bar Council of Rajasthan.
