Sunil Malik

Sunil Malik is a Chartered Accountant and corporate advisor at Dua Consulting, specializing in Tax Advisory Law and corporate structuring. He advises on mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment, private equity, and domestic capital markets, with a focus on tax-efficient structuring and regulatory compliance.

Sunil has extensive experience in formulating entry strategies for foreign-owned businesses in India, advising on withholding taxes, transfer pricing, service tax, and value‑added tax issues, as well as structuring joint ventures and business arrangements. He has worked on cross‑border investments, both inbound and outbound, and conducted due‑diligence for M&A and private equity transactions. Under the World Bank, he advised on the privatization of the Indian power sector and was involved in one of the first government divestments in the domestic sector.

He holds a Fellowship from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (1981). His expertise spans the power, telecom, information technology, and non‑banking financial services sectors.
