Shweta Gupta

Shweta Gupta is a Partner in the Gurugram office of CMS INDUSLAW, with over 10 years of experience. Her primary practice area is Mergers and Acquisitions, and she specialises in mergers and acquisitions, private equity investment, joint ventures and corporate governance.

She also focuses on corporate restructuring matters and other general corporate matters, representing both buyers and sellers. She has been representing clients in various cross-border transactions, advising on foreign direct investments, outbound investments, business transfers, commercial contract issues, restructurings and spin-offs.

Her work spans several sectors including e-commerce, FMCG, food and beverages, financial services, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, services, logistics and renewable energy. She also advises various international clients on corporate governance best practices and across the full spectrum of fundraising activities, with a specific focus on India entry.

Prior to joining CMS INDUSLAW, she was associated with JSA and Trilegal.
