Pragya Chauhan

Pragya Chauhan is a Partner at JSA. Her primary practice area is Arbitration and Mediation, and her core areas of practice are arbitration and commercial litigation.

She specialises in disputes in the Construction & Engineering and Information Technology Services sectors.

She has successfully represented clients in around 50 domestic and international commercial arbitrations, with awards of more than hundreds of crores being passed in favour of the client.

In addition to arbitrations, she regularly handles high-value commercial matters before the Supreme Court and various High Courts. She has significant experience in company and shareholder disputes and has represented clients before the National Company Law Tribunal and National Company Law Appellate Tribunal.

She has been practising law since 2012 and has been with JSA since its inception.

She is a member of the Bar Council of Delhi.

Her publications include 'Interim measures in support of arbitration in India' (LexisNexis), 'Specific Performance of Contracts in new India: Unlearning Old Concepts' (Legal Era Magazine) and the India Chapter of the International Comparative Legal Guide Series (2016–17 and 2017–18) on 'Class Action Litigations'.

She holds an LLB from Amity Law School, Delhi (GGSIP University) and speaks English and Hindi.
