Kaveri Shrivastava

Kaveri Shrivastava is a Senior Partner and Co-Head of the Hyderabad office at Kochhar & Co., specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions. With over 22 years of diverse experience across law firms and corporates in India and the USA, she focuses on corporate advisory, joint ventures, strategic alliances, employment and labour law, infrastructure law, contracts and corporate litigation.

Kaveri has represented government bodies, purchasers, sellers and financial advisors in cross-border transactions across pharmaceuticals and life sciences, IT and ITeS, aviation, infrastructure (roads, bridges, power, oil and gas), retail, education and precious metals. Notable engagements include representing the founders of a medical outsourcing company in the secondary sale of a 51% stake to a Gulf-based private equity firm for US$20.6 million, advising a pharmaceutical company on a US$42.5 million joint venture with a Japanese company, and representing a leading cement manufacturer in its US$18.2 million acquisition. She also advised a satellite manufacturing company on a joint venture with a German company, and has represented clients before the NCLT and various High Courts.

Kaveri holds an LL.M. from New York University, an LL.B. from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University, and a B.A. (Hons) from Lady Shriram College, Delhi University. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Karnataka State Bar Council and the Telangana High Court Advocates Association, and has represented clients before the New York State Supreme Court.
