Jyotsna Jayaram

Jyotsna Jayaram is a Partner – Technology, Media and Telecom, Artificial Intelligence, Intellectual Property at Trilegal and part of the firm’s TMT practice group, focusing on Data Protection Law. She has a breadth of advisory, transactional and regulatory experience spanning over 13 years.

Jyotsna routinely advises both domestic and overseas clients on various regulatory aspects of their business, including data protection and privacy, cross-border transfers and data localisation, telecom regulatory matters, complex cybersecurity issues, data monetisation models, user-generated content, intermediary liability, advertising regulations, consumer protection, gaming, FinTech regulations, HealthTech regulation and content regulation.

She also works on a wide variety of commercial matters, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, outsourcing arrangements, mergers and private equity investments, and business and asset transfers in the TMT sector.

Her recognitions include ranking by Chambers & Partners Asia-Pacific for TMT (2023–2026) and for Fintech (2026), ‘Next Generation Partner’ for TMT & Data Protection by Legal 500 (2025–2026), and ‘Leading Woman in Data’ by Global Data Review (2022). She is Co-chair of the ITechLaw International India Conference and vice-chair of the TMT Committee at the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (2024–2026).

Jyotsna studied at the School of Law, Christ University, Bengaluru, and is admitted to the Bar Council of Karnataka.
